Owl Clock Page

I found the joy of coloring just recently when my husband said 'let's go to the Dollar Tree and see if they have any coloring books'. They had a few fairly thick books that I knew would've been at least $5 elsewhere and from that point on I have been coloring like mad. I just love it.

Once I saw the Imagimorphia book I knew I had to get it. I'm so glad I did. Every page is a good page. The book has a main image like a clock or an animal with doodle coming out of it. The book is two sided which color present problems with some coloring tools bleeding through to the other side but so far I haven't had that problem.

This page was colored with colored pencils that I got from Walmart for around $10 but I don't remember the brand name. The background was done with black color pencil with black acrylic paint on top and black crayola marker to do the small details. I think the color pencil layer may have help the paint and marker not bleed through.

I didn't keep track of how long it took me to complete or the colors I used but I have started to do that now. There are a couple of pages that I color that I didn't keep track that I will post but the rest will have the materials used. Anyway, this is what I have been doing when I am not reading.

#reading challenge #goodreads #tbr #bookblogger

This challenge was originally posted by Dawn (Kat N Hat) in October 2011.

A monthly challenge to help you reduce your "to be read" list.

Rules: Any genre is fine. No re-reads. No page minimum. Please post a link to the book and the date you finished reading. Please repost your entire challenge when finished to get your badge.

Clean It Out
Duration: January 1, 2018 - January 31, 2018

TASKS:
1. Set your 'my books' page to sort by date added (oldest to newest). Read one book from the first 20 books.

2. Read one book from a series you have started and not finished.

3. Read one book that you bought but have not yet read.

4. Read one book that will help with a difficult challenge. (Like an A-Z challenge that needs Q, U, & X)

5. Read one free book from your e-reader. (If you do not have an e-reader, read a book that has been on your TBR for more than a year).

Reading Challenge: Scattergories

#readingchallenges2018 #scattergories #readinggames #bookblogger

Over on Goodreads there's a group called The Lost Challenges. They have a monthly Scattergories challenge. I decided to join in this month. Here are the deets:

The object of this challenge is the same sort of thing as the board game. You are given a list of 12 categories/words and a letter and you find items that fit those categories in your books. The goal is to find all 12 items. You may use a book to fulfill as many categories as it fits (you don't have to read 12 books this month...don't worry!)

January Scattergories
Duration: January 1, 2018- January 31, 2018
Recurring Items:
1. Book Title ('the', 'an' and 'a' should be ignored)
2. Author (first or last name)
3. Main Character (first or last name)
4. Secondary Character (first or last name)
5. Place/Setting (either the name of an actual place OR a setting where the book takes place; i.e. for R you could use 'Rome' or 'ranch')
6. Item on cover (please show the cover and tell us the item or items)

And the Specials for January are:
7. A reason to call 911
8. An item you take on a road trip
