My Review
Didn't expect to like it as much as I did. So the story starts off with Ann being hurt on a beach. Two guys find her, patch her up, and take her with them. She doesn't know if she should trust them, there's people shooting at them and if that isn't enough she has lost her memory. She's taken to a compound is told about this whole different "world". Not like out of space world but just things that she didn't know and would take time for anyone to absorb if they hadn't grown up with the knowledge.

In the book, Ann finds out that everyone believes she is the key to winning the war that is to come. Unfortunately, no one including her can't know her full potential until she recovers her memory. It is also a story about not judging someone on looks alone. I won't spoil what I mean by that for you though. You'll have to read it to find out. I liked the story overall. Ann was whiny at times and definitively insecure and impulsive. I gave her a pass on account of her memory lost. The ending is good and though it ends on a cliffhanger it resolved enough to be satisfied. Recommend for paranormal fans. Oh did I mention that there is a soul mate concept in this but it isn't exactly instalove. What?! I know right!

Is there life outside the dome and if so, what has the Order been hiding from everyone?

My Review
Yay! =D> A y.a. story with romance but no sex. Yes, this is a "clean y.a. book. There is a love triangle but it makes sense and works well with the story. So basically Nat lives in the future (country unknown though I think it's the U.S.). There was an infection that spread assumingly through the world. The infection caused its victim to become extremely strong and violent. It's not a death one would even wish on an enemy. Domes were created to keep the infection out and survivors in. Of course, with time those in power like the power and want to keep it and original goal is ignored and the lies and deceit begins.

Nat lives with her grandparents after her parents died in an incident outside the dome. Nat is a bit of a rule breaker. While in the outer forest (which is within the dome) she sees something unexpected, two people outside the doom. This is supposed to be impossible. No one can live outside the dome. One gets away and one gets caught. Or does he let them catch him? From the moment Nat lays her eyes on those two men her life is never the same and everything she thought she knew was either a flat out lie or half true.

Great book with a fast pace. Nat frustrated me with the whole romance thing. She felt at times like a younger teenager and not the 18 yr old she just turned. The story is entertaining and draws you in. There are surprises and the characters are well done. If you have be a dystopian slump lately, give the story a try.

Olivia Lincoln has a plan guaranteed to get her life back on track. A plan that involves her best friend, Danny. And he’s on board, too…until she blurts out that they’re engaged and expecting a baby, and the news spreads like wildfire.

The problem? Danny doesn’t do marriage. Or family. And everyone knows it, including Olivia.
As irritated as he might be, protecting Olivia is what Danny does. But put best friends under one roof, add house rules begging to be broken, accidental nakedness, and pancakes in bed, and what started as a marriage between friends threatens to turn into the real deal…which would ruin everything.

My Review
Talk about a cute book. Olivia and Danny are just the cutest couple. The have always been best friends when Olivia find herself in a pickle Danny is the obvious shoulder to lean on. The favor she asks is a huge one and the fact that he agreed is beyond friendship even without the romance.

Speaking of romance, I like the banter between the two. I didn't even mind the build up to the deed. Which is a big deal. Those of you who follow my reviews knows 'Bunni doesn't deal well with suspense'. Anyway, Liv's situation was a bit sad. Imagine having a mother who says those types of things?! I wanted to tell her that she should just stop caring what her mother says but let's get real most of us want our parents approval and that want doesn't go away even as adults. Danny situation is quite relate-able to anyone who has an eye condition.

This is a light-hearted fun romance. It has all the things to a romance read could want. A cute sexy couple, a baby, and a spunky meddling-in-a-loving way elderly lady. Overall, I liked the story but it would have gotten a higher rating had she delved deeper into the character especially Danny.

What if someone tried to fake the rapture?

When hundreds of thousands of people disappear in the middle of the night, including sixteen-year-old Gwen's best friend Lana, no one knows why. Some believe they were taken in the rapture, while others are convinced that it can't be true. Doomsday prophecies abound that involve horrifying tales of plague, famine, earthquakes, and more.

At first, Gwen doesn't know what to think. While she is busy mourning Lana, many people around her are getting taken in by the cultish True Believers Temple, including Gwen's dad and her friend Mindy. It is clear that more and more people are going to be pressured to join this church, as it starts taking over the media and the government, gaining zealous followers all over the world.

Then Gwen starts receiving emails from Lana. She claims to have been forced into hiding with thousands of others in an underground compound. Gwen is convinced the emails are real and the only other person who also believes her is Isaiah, her moody crush. Together they resolve to find out where everyone is hiding and help set Lana free.

My Review
It took me awhile to get around to this story so I had forgotten what it was about. However, once her friend disappears and there is a mention of how religious her friend family is I knew it was a rapture story. I'm not going to get in what I think about the rapture but let's just say I'm not a fan of the idea.

In this story, a bunch of people all disappear in the middle of the night without any sign of a struggle. The one common denominator is that they were all members of the same church. People are buying the rapture story and church attendance skyrockets. The only, there wasn't a rapture. It was all faked by the church.

With all the things cults have believed and done the idea of faking the rapture isn't all that far fetched. Unfortunately, when the chips are down it is very easy to convince people of things. This is why it is always important to have your own mind and not blindly follow anyone or anything. I will say the way the author had one of the preacher say his piece he made for a very convincing argument.

I liked the story as a whole. The theme wasn't for me and perhaps that's why it's only getting a 3 star rating for me. I think that the story was told well enough. The characters are okay but not very developed. This first book ( the way it ends you know there's going to be a book 2) is all about the plot and not very focused on characters. Overall, a pretty good read that is a little different than the usually y.a. book. Oh and by the way, if I remember correctly it is a clean (non sexual) novel.
