Desc:
In the summer of 1963, innocent 17-year-old Baby (Grey) vacations with her parents at a Catskill's resort. One evening, she is drawn to the staff quarters by stirring music. There she meets Johnny, the hotel dance instructor, who is as experienced as Baby is naive. Baby soon becomes Johnny's pupil in dance and love.

This is one of my favorite movies (I have many favs). This is the movie where I fell in love with Patrick Swayze. I think that he should have been an action star. Talk about someone who never really got going in the business. Jennifer Grey was good in the movie as well.
There are a bunch of scenes that standout in the film. The lake scene where they practice the lift. The scene where they find Penny in the kitchen. The first dance scene when Baby and Johnny dance at the dancer party. And of course, the iconic last dance scene of 'I had the time of my life'.
Two of my favorite scenes:
One, the sister practicing the Hula Huna...while I walk away, away, away, away. Two, the Hungry Eyes scene.
The movie is also full of quotes.
'Nobody puts Baby in the corner'
'Don't look down, look right here' (if you follow me on twitter than you know I used that when talking about a contender on American Ninja Warror)
'Go back to you playpin Baby'
Then you have the music. The music matches the era that the movie takes place in. I do think that it is also one of Patrick Swayze favorite songs. He uses some of the songs in other movies he was in like Roadhouse (another fav of mine). Also you have She's like the Wind, a song that was written and sung by Swayze himself. As if he was already swoon worthy, right ladies.
If you are into chick flicks and haven't watched this yet then two things... Where have you been? And get to it. If you decided to buy the movie check of the behind the scenes footage. It shows where the scenes where shot. Also how the cast actually felt about each other in the beginning. This is a classic chick flick guaranteed to satisfy the sappiness in you.
