My Review:
I wasn't sure what I would find before I started this book. I wanted to read it because I don't read too many adult rock star books. I want to change that and I figured this book would be a good start. I was right. This is a good read. I like the story between Calix and Mimi. I found it to be more about Mimi cooking career than being a rock band book but it is there in the background and Calix is, after all, a keyboard player.
I found her father at the beginning to be so heartbreaking. It is bad enough when you receive negativity anyone but more so when it's coming from a love one. I like how Mimi was determined to get what she wants. Not even her father was going to talk her out of a once in a lifetime opportunity. Calix is the bad boy with issues who really just want to love and be love.
They both help each other to find themselves though the road getting there is a rocky one.
