My Review
This doesn't have much to do with Christmas other than her mentioning decorating their Christmas tree. There isn't much of a story here either. It's basically a back to back to back sex scene. You have a glimpse as to the type of character Zane is but not really about Dakota. This didn't leave me with any feeling of wanting to get to know either character better. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be starting this series any time soon.

Stand out line that refers to climax
"wings are busting out of my body, beating, lifting me up" um so good she feels like she has sprouted wings? I don't know if that'll excite or scare the hell outta of me.

Amazon  -  Barnes and Noble  -  Kobo  -  iBooks

My Review
What is it with romance short stories? A happy ending doesn't have to included marriage. Everything going on in this book is off. Lacy is stuck and makes no moves to help herself. She is irrational rude to the only person who took the time to see if she needs help. Then the next minute she's falling in love. I like Grayson but the ending is ridiculous. Talk about neat, tidy, and tied in a bow. This was an over the top happy ending. I will say it a very short story so if you are interested then give it a try but if you are not a fan of instalove bypass it.

About the Author
Danielle Lee Zwissler was born in Dover, Ohio. A small town in North East Ohio. Her love of romance and cowboys took over in this novella. She is a big fan of William Shatner, Harry Potter, and all things Harlequin. Her first novel, “Her Last Chance”, debuted in 2010 with Firefly & Wisp Books. And then shortly after the sequel, “The Art of Seduction” came out. Unfortunately, after three years of working on the third book of the series, Danielle’s laptop was stolen and the story of Kyle and Christine was taken along with it. However, with hard work, and another year or two, she will finish it and hopefully unleash it on to her fans of the Daniel Dynasty.

Christmas with You by Pamela Ann

Format: mobi
Rating: ☆ ☆

Synopsis:

A short story about Emma Anderson's HEA.

Purchase
Amazon  -  Barnes and Noble  -  Kobo  -  iBooks

My Review
This book tells you upfront that it is best read by those who are already following the series. It is evident that there is more to the couple's relationship from the first page of this short story. There is one sex scene that was just ok.  I'm not all that sure that I'll try out the series. This book was kind of bland for me. If I had read at least one full book out of the series maybe my rating would be higher but because this didn't make me want to go back and catch up, it gets two stars.

WRI Presents an Afternoon Delight Review: Silent Night by Natasha Preston

Silent Night by Natasha Preston
Pages: 31pgs
Publisher: Author Self Published
Source: Amazon
Format: mobi
Rating: ☆ ☆ ☆

Synopsis:
Join Cole, Oakley and their family for Christmas day in this 7,000 word short story.

Purchase
Amazon  -  Barnes and Noble  -  Kobo  -  iBooks

My Review
The summary is a total fail. It gives you nothing to go on and can easily be overlooked. Afterall, if the author can't be bother to give an actually synopsis why should the reader bothering it? In fact, the only  reason I downloaded it was because I was looking for Christmas stories and the title says Silent Night. Then again this is meant for fan of the already established series.

No sex scenes. Can you imagine that?! I know there are plenty of books that don't have sex scenes but I don't read many of them unless they are YA. Anyway, this starts off with Cole and Oakley at home on Christmas morning with one excited toddler and a bubbly baby. When the couple goes to the family for more Christmas presents and dinner two exciting announcements. I may start this series at some point. Cole and Oakley seemed to have had a rocky start that I want to know more about.

About the Author
My name is Natasha, but most people call me Tash or Tasha. I don't mind either. I was born in England and have lived in small towns and villages out in the countryside ever since.

My husband, Joseph, is the most supportive person in my life. Without his love, help and patience I wouldn't be where I am today. And this website wouldn't exist! I'm a proud mummy to an amazing little boy who is my whole world.

At school I drifted through, achieving average grades. I fell into administration and receptionist jobs, thinking that I couldn't really do anything else.

In 2010 I stumbled into writing completely by accident. I was searching the 'app store' and came across Wattpad, an amateur writing site. For the first few months I just read, but then decided to type some of the ideas I had floating around my head. I'm so glad I did because I absolutely love writing.

Writing gave me an escape, and Wattpad gave me the self-confidence I lacked.

Synopsis:

A short Christmas story of three courses.

Love is in the air in Tippermere as Lottie dreams of a white Christmas with no trimmings – other than her hot and hunky eventer, Rory. But things are never quite that simple on the Tipping House Estate.

Festive fervour takes over and it isn’t all seasonal peace and goodwill as expectations rise and it soon escalates from cosy dinner for two, to all the trimmings for ten!

With missing turkeys, loose horses, troublesome terriers and randy huntsmen, Lottie is hard pushed to find time for a kiss under the mistletoe, let alone find the opportunity to woo Rory with her sexy Santa costume.

But there is only one thing Lottie really wants for Christmas, and only one man can deliver it…

Enjoy your trip to Tippermere, and don't miss the novels in this series…

Stable Mates
Country Affairs

Purchase

My Review
This was not the type of country Christmas I was expecting. The book setting is takes place in the countryside of England. That threw me off a bit but oh well.  This is a good little romance read. Everything that could get out of hand gets out of hand. It has some funny moments.

However, I do have to note that it didn't entice me to read the series. The characters were okay but it didn't make me want to know more about them.

About the Author
Author Zara Stoneley lives in deepest Cheshire surrounded by horses, dogs, cats and amazing countryside. When she’s not visiting wine bars, artisan markets or admiring the scenery in her sexy high heels or green wellies, she can be found in flip flops on the beach in Barcelona, or more likely sampling the tapas!
Zara writes hot romance and bonkbusters. Her latest novels, ‘Stable Mates’ and 'Country Affairs', are fun romps through the Cheshire countryside and combine some of her greatest loves – horses, dogs, hot men and strong women (and not forgetting champagne and fast cars)!
She writes for Harper Collins and Accent Press.
