Charming by Krystal Wade
Published by: Curiosity Quills Press
Publication date: October 6th 2014
Genres: Thriller, Young Adult

Synopsis:
They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and that’s great . . . as long as you don’t die.
Sixteen-year-old Haley Tremaine had it all: top-notch school, fantastic family, and a bright future, but all of that changed when an accident tore her family apart. Now, an alcoholic father, a bitter younger sister, and a cold headstone bearing her mother’s name are all she has left.
Chris Charming has it all: a powerful CEO for a father, a prestigious school, and a fortune at his fingertips, but none of that matters when he lands a reputation as a troublemaker. Struggling to follow in his father’s footsteps, he reaches out to the one person he believes truly sees him, the one person he wants: Haley.
Little do they know someone’s determined to bring the two together, even if it means murder.
My Review:
Wow! So not what I expected. The was a great story. Written well with great characters. I had forgot all about what this story was suppose to be about by the time I started reading. You would think that the characters name would have tipped me off but nope. Haley has it hard. Her mother is dead. Her father is a mean drunk who makes her do all the dirty work. Her litter sister gets away with doing nothing in the house and on top of that has the nerve to mean to Haley as well. Her mother died in a car accident that would have killed the two of them if it wasn't for a mysterious stranger who help her out. Charming is being groomed to take over the business. He shares a connection with Haley she has yet to find out about.

Should you read it? Yes. Who should read it? Fans of Y.A., fans of retellings, and those wanting a good read.

AUTHOR BIO
Krystal Wade is happily married to the love of her life (don’t gag) and raising three beautiful children in the gorgeous state of Virginia. They live just outside Washington, D.C., and every day she wakes up to find herself stuck in traffic trying to get there.
The horrid commute gives Krystal plenty of time to zone out and think about her characters in full, brilliant details (she’s a safe driver; don’t worry). Stories give her a way to forget about the sometimes smelly strangers sitting next to her on the fifty mile trek into town (she picks up hitchhikers every day. True story. Check out www.slug-lines.com if you don’t believe us).

Krystal has been a part of organized hitchhiking for nearly fifteen years, but that’s just one small aspect of her oh-so-large life. When she’s not working, commuting, or chasing after her three children (four if you count the man), you can usually find Krystal outside talking to her chickens like they’re the cutest things in the world (they are), or training her amazing dogs how to herd said chickens (which they love), or curled up on the sofa with a good book (why can’t that be 100% of the time?).

Blog Tour: Finding Her Way Back by Heather Van Fleet

 #blogtour @HLVanFleet @swoonromance @NereydaG1003 #giveaway

Finding Her Way Back by Heather Van Fleet
Release Date: 10/07/14
Swoon Romance

Summary from Goodreads:
Meet Callie. She’s nineteen, quirky, and fears commitments. She also has a love/hate relationship with her tennis shoes. Nine months of college, done and gone, and all Callie has to show for it is her freshman thirty. But alas, no worries, life has other crap plans for her now. Plans that include a set of nuptials from hell for her older, she–devil sister Anna. Struggling to rid her chubby–sexy vibe, Callie is put on a strict Anna regimen of ‘do this do that’ while attempting to avoid the unavoidable. The unavoidable being Ky Hampton: her once skinny–skater–boy turned sex–god, ex best friend from across the street. Kylan feels as though he is a waste. A mechanic, country music singer with not a lyrics to his name. A boy with a proverbial skateboard still strung around his neck from high school. He’s lost, and he’d be the first to admit it. But the moment he spots Calla Lily––with a cemented penis in hand––the more he realizes that she’s exactly the muse he’s been missing. But when the going gets tough, and the secrets of her past grow thicker, Callie has to figure out if her tennis shoes will be her escape this time around in life, or her demise instead.

My Review:
I like this book. Callie is so relate-able. She is different from the skinny perfection of most characters we read about. The romance between her and Ky is really great to read about. Callie could have broken down and been the sad depressed female lead but you definitely do not get that vibe from her.

Should you read it? Yes. Who should read it? Anyone looking for a great romance story.

Kacie can’t ignore the tortured souls of the children crying out to her every night. With Logan at her side, she will fight the Foxblood Demon. But can they banish this powerful phantom, or will Kacie lose not only her body, but her eternal soul to the monster.
My Review:
This one is going to be a short one. Not because I don't have anything to say but because I have a lot to say.i And since I'm sure once I get started I'll type spoilers all over the place. I liked this story. You want to talk about pace. It was fast paced for me. I've watched Ghost Whisperer any thought about having that the kind of gift where you don't just see ghost but that they basically stalk you.

Yeah...I'll pass. Kacie is that kind of character where I'm like I don't envied you honey. It's bad enough to see the evils of the living but to witness the evils from the afterlife is an "gift" I don't wont. The best word that I could use to describe this novel is haunted. I got lost in the story. I found myself talking out loud at times. See I just caught myself from typing a spoiler. So I'm ended it here.

Should you read it? Yes. Who should read it? Fans of the paranormal, ghosts, and spirit world things.

She is married to her soul mate, has a teenage son, and shares her home with three dogs and four cats. No, she doesn’t live on a farm, she just loves animals. Her house is filled with dragons, though she does lament that they are the porcelain, non-flying variety.

Kimber Leigh is addicted to romance, videogames, superheroes, villains, and chocolate—not necessarily in that order. (If she has to choose, she’ll take a chocolate covered superhero!)

My Review:
I really liked this book. I am a fan of dystopian. You all know this I'm sure. The story is fast paced. You just keep turning pages. You Know you have a good read when you don't want to stop reading. It has bit of some other dystopian novels in there. It isn't done in a way where you are like "oh here we go again." All I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised and I think you will be too.

Blurb

With college graduation looming, three childhood friends vow to make spring break their last blast of pure fun. But at least one of them didn’t count on such incredible heat…

Convinced to let loose over spring break, Layla is finally ready to party—until her car breaks down halfway to her destination, leaving her stranded in Georgia with a mouthwateringly hot pool shark. She knows more than enough about angles to learn the game, but this week she wants him to appreciate her curves…
Phin Marks has never met a girl like Layla. She’s more Star Wars geek than seductress, and when he offers her a place to stay while her car is in the shop, he’s counting on the attraction between them to set the nights ablaze, no strings attached. But every moment he spends with Layla makes it harder to let her go. Can he persuade her to gamble in the most dangerous way possible…on forever?

I'm in my thirties and living in New Zealand. About 2 years ago I lost somebody very close to me. I was lucky in a way, I was given enough time to make a promise. My promise was that I would never forget our young and innocent love, and it's a promise I intend to keep.

My writing is a way to help me keep that promise. I've always enjoyed writing but was forced into being 'prudent' and giving myself over to soul-crushing office work for the sake of a steady salary. Recent events forced me to re-evaluate my priorities and I decided to take a chance. I like to put little pieces of 'us' into my writing, from funny conversations we had, to apocalyptic arguments, to that special feeling you get when you hop into bed fully aware that your feet are freezing but your partner doesn't kick you away.

Even though these things are set in fictional worlds and attached to fictional characters, in a way it feels like I'm doing something that will make our love live forever. If somebody reads one of my stories and likes a joke or sheds a tear, then our love has lived on, and I thank any readers I might have for that.
