Marry Me For Money by Mia Kayla
Publication date: May 4th 2014
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Rating 4 stars (4.4)

Synopsis:Leaving her small town behind, Bethany Casse moves to Chicago in search of a new life. Working at a top financial bank brings her into contact with two men who are as different as night and day.
Kent Plack, heir to Plack Industries, has no interest in being with a woman for longer than one night. A spoiled and lazy man-whore, he is completely content with his playboy lifestyle, and Beth is surprised when they form an unlikely friendship.

Brian Burcham, a finance banker, is gorgeous and respectful. A man plucked from Beth’s dreams, he is definite husband material. Unfortunately, Beth has a hard rule against dating coworkers, but Brian is determined to change her mind.

When a deadbeat mother and money problems follow her to Chicago, Beth is offered a solution that could fix everything. Marrying for money seems simple enough, but when lines become blurred, Beth faces difficult choices, making her realize that the easy way out just made her life even harder than before.

My Review:
Growing up with her grandmother as her guardian I already know that Bethany had issues with her mother. I was pretty sure what the issues were as well. Bethany is the goody goody. You know, the one who always have the good grades and know what he/she wants to do in life. The one every teacher and parent want their child to be like. This aspect about her doesn't change in the book so don't think this is a girl good gone bad situation. Bethany is just a young woman with a trouble past trying to live a better life.

First thing's first, I wanted to read this because of the cover. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know don't judge a book by its cover :P I do it all the time. Some times it backfires but this time it was right on the money. I like Bethany. She is a really likable character. She isn't the type of female character who downs herself or think she isn't deserving. I wasn't like 'omg, get on with it already'. All of her actions and reactions were reasonable and not damsel in distress acting.

As for the beau's, Brian is a good guy. Nice and nice looking. The kind of guy that most women would love to be with. Many women would love a guy who is persistent about getting a date. I didn't like it though. I think that when someone says they don't want a office romance the other person needs to listen to that reasoning. I felt that as a professional male he wasn't taking her seriously. I mean if that was the reasoning he gave a woman and she kept pursuing him he would have probably continued to say no as well made it very clear that his job was his priority.

Kent was just yummy. Who doesn't like a bad boy who tells it like it is? Women know just exactly what they are getting when they deal with him. Kent back story made him even more enduring. He the guy that all women want and give you the evil eye because he's with you. The kind of guy who oozes sex appeal. Yup, Kent was my type of male character.

So I guess you can tell by now that I really enjoyed this novel. It provided me the type of reading experience I enjoy. I was in the book. While I was reading, I was Bethany. Should you reading this? LOL my answer is obviously yes. I think all lovers of romance will enjoy this book. Add it to your wishlist/tbr list right now. I'll wait. Okay, I won't but you should still do it. Happy Reading.

Bio:
Mia Kayla is a New Adult/Contemporary Romance writer who lives in Illinois.
On the weekdays, she can be caught wearing a suit, commuting to her corporate job in downtown Chicago and raising three beautiful munchkins in the suburbs, four if you count the husband.
In her free time she loves reading romance novels, jamming to boy bands, catching up on celebrity gossip and designing flowers for weddings.
Most of the time, she can be caught on the train with her nose in a book sporting a cheeky grin because the main characters finally get their happily-ever-after at the end.
She loves reading about happy endings but has more fun writing them.

***Reviews are my honest opinion. You don't see many reviews under 3 stars ratings because I rarely pick a book that I know I won't like. I mean really...why would I read something I know I won't like.
