Love at First Sight by B.J. Daniels
Rating 4 stars

Karen Sutton is on a blind date at a hotel resturant with her next door neighbor grandnephew Howie. When he spills red wine on her she uses it as a chance to take a break. She gets but on her way to the restroom while retracing her steps she witness a strange scene.

A man knocks on a door, when the woman opens the door she tries to hi the man but he grabs her arms. Before he stepping through the door he looks to the side and spots Karen. Did the man say Liz?This is the start of a crazy series of event got Karen. She seeks out the killer refusing to wait for him to find her. She's almost get run over by a car, blown up, and shot. She recieves a hit to the head that results in her temporary memory loss.

Detective Jack Adams in an effort to keep her by his side so that he can protect her pretends to be her husband. Which opens up a whole other can of worms. As the story moves along the motives for Liz's murder goes from a love affair gone wrong to illegal adoption conducted by a vengeful husband. Once Karen got her memory back every thing comes back including the fake marriage to Jack and the very real things they did while living that lie.

In the end of the story the mystery is solved and as with any romance novel the couple, Jack and Karen, wind up together.

I liked this book. Just when you thought you had the story figured out there was another twist.

Would've been 4.5 but the squares replacing the "fi" and "fl" in words disrupted the flow of the story.

For some reason some words that contained "fi" and "fl" those letters were replaced with a square. Why this wasn't caught doing the editing or printing process is beyond me. The following are the pages and the lines where this happened.
